Silicone Surface-Treated Powders for Cosmetics

It was more than 30 years ago that silicone oil began to use for coating the surface of powder particles. This invention led to the development of two-way foundation powder which can be resistant to both oil and water. Sweatproof and waterproof makeup was the further development in this field, which has been mainly intended for women in sporty occasion.
Silicone surface-treated powders are excellent in their water repellency and dispersibility, which has been widely used as a functional filler in cosmetic products.

  1. Mix 1 to 9, and pulverize them (Phase A).
  2. Evenly mix 10 to 14 (Phase B), and mix with A, and pulverize the mixture.
  3. Sieve the mixture, compress and mold it into a plate.

  1. Mix 1 to 9, and pulverize them (Phase A).
  2. Evenly mix 10 to 15, and dissolve them by heating (Phase B).

  1. Mix 1 to 6, and pulverize them (Phase A)
  2. Dissolve 7 to 12 by heating (Phase B), and add A to B, and disperse it evenly.
  3. Add 13 (Phase C) to the above A+B, and mold it into a plate.

  1. Weigh 1 to 10, and dissolve them by heating. (Phase A)
  2. Weigh and mix 11 and 12, and pulverize them. (Phase B)
  3. Add B and 13 (Phase C) to A, stir the mixture to be uniform.
  4. Cool it down to a room temperature, and fill it in a container.

[Procedures]

  1. Mix 4, 5 and 6, and stir them at 5000 rpm for 3 minutes.
  2. Mix 1, 2 and 3, and add them to the above (1), and stir the mixture at 5000 rpm for 3 minutes.
  3. Add 7 to the above mixture of (1) and (2), and stir the mixture at 5000 rpm for 3 minutes.

  1. Mix (10)~(14) until evenly dispersed. (Phase C)
  2. Mix and pulverize (15)~(21). (Phase D)
  3. Add (1)~(8) in the main container and dissolve the mixture by heating, then add (9) to it. (Phase A+B)
  4. Mix A+B, with C and D, and mix them all by a homogenizer until evenly dispersed.
  5. Mix (22)~(27) well (Phase E), and add E to the above mixture of A+B+C+D, and emulsify them by using a homomixer.
  6. Cool it down to a room temperature while stirring, and fill it in a package.

  5. Cool it down to a room temperature while stirring, and fill it in a package.

  1. A. Combine ⑧(0.5g)、⑨、⑩ with three rolls
