MECHANISM OF AN IRIDESCENT COLORING Nanotechnology in film lamination has brought out a high-tech cosmetic ingredient. Micro Glitter consists of powders of cut-pulverized special laminated film. Two hundreds of super-thin films with a thickness of nanometers are layered to be the laminated film in a thickness of 13 (Pearl Violet), 16 (Pearl Pink), 19 (Pearl Blue) micrometers. Light interference among layers due to their optical path differences produces multiple reflection in a specified wavelength upon the film. By this coloration of structural function, Micro Glitter exhibits such an iridescent color as like a morpho butterfly and a jewel beetle.
